What to know about Ferragudo
Ferragudo is a fishing village in the municipality of Lagoa, on the east bank of the mouth of the river Arade, right opposite Portimão. White houses run down to a riverside square with grilled-fish restaurants, and at the river mouth stands the fort of São João do Arade, next to Praia da Angrinha. Towards the sea lies Praia Grande, one of the quietest beaches in the area.
